The Texas Psychological Association newsletter has featured me as the December Member Spotlight. I kind of think they just pull names out of a hat for this honor, but still, it’s nice to have been picked!

About Me

Sophia K. Havasy, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in Houston, Texas. She is the senior psychologist and works with a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of professionals at the Tarnow Center for Self-Management. Over the past 20+ years, Dr. Havasy has specialized in helping young adults with ADHD, LD, bipolar, etc., and their families to work together to become independent adults. She refers to their process as complicated launchings.

Dr. Havasy completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University, and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Northwestern University. She has been in Texas for almost 30 years.
